Buzz earned his MBA from Michigan State University. He is also a graduate of the Culver Academies in Indiana. He began his business career as a practicing CPA for Arthur Andersen in Chicago and also spent several years in St. Louis with that firm as Director of Human Resources and Recruiting. Later, Buzz was the architect of the firm’s first dedicated in-house experienced recruiting group based in Chicago which served the Midwest and as well as Andersen’s headquarters.

Buzz also has extensive experience in legal administration having been the Executive Director for a mid-sized law firm in Chicago before going into executive search. Now, one of his specialties is the recruitment of administrative executives for law and other professional services firms such as consulting and accounting. CFO, VP-Finance and Controller searches are also a specialization for Buzz.

Buzz is active in the International Association of Corporate and Professional Recruitment, serves on the Board of Governors of the Metropolitan Club of Chicago and is past Chair of the Board of the Chicago Society of Clubs. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Alliance for the Great Lakes, an environmental advocacy organization. From a global business management standpoint, Buzz is a past member of the Executive Board of the IRC Global Search Partners organization which operates in over 30 countries.
